Woodgate & Clark announce the appointment of Mike Higgins as Managing Director

Posted on 12 November 2025

Woodgate & Clark, one of the UK’s leading loss adjusters and part of Van Ameyde Group, Europe’s market leader in international claims management, has appointed Mike Higgins as Managing Director. Mike moves into the position on 1st December 2025 from the role of Operations Director at Woodgate & Clark. He succeeds the current MD, James Eveling, who will remain at Woodgate & Clark as a Non-Executive Director while continuing to support the wider Van Ameyde business.

Mike joined Woodgate & Clark in January 2025, bringing close to three decades of experience in Claims and Loss Adjusting. Since joining, he has played a pivotal role during a period of significant transformation for the business, including the integration of Van Ameyde UK earlier this year.

Mike has held senior leadership roles at Crawford and GAB Robins, with a passion for shaping high-performing, customer focussed teams and developing talent to support succession planning and sustainable growth. At Woodgate & Clark, he will now lead the business through its next phase of growth, focusing on delivering exceptional claims solutions and client service across all markets.

Mike Higgins said: “Woodgate & Clark has an enviable reputation for technical excellence and customer service. The integration of Quadrasisst, our building repair network, along with Van Ameyde UK has strengthened our ability to deliver innovative claims solutions to insurers, brokers, and MGAs across the UK. I look forward to working closely with my Co-Directors Simon Jones and Egon Scheers along with our talented Senior Leadership Team to build on this strong foundation.”

Since his appointment as Managing Director in 2023, James Eveling has played a key role in driving the company’s modernisation and strategic development. His commitment to innovation, people development, and responsible business practices has laid a strong foundation for the next stage of Woodgate & Clark’s evolution.

James Eveling said: “Over the past few years we have made significant progress in strengthening our business model, leadership, and operational processes. Now that we have become a fully integrated and future-ready organisation, I feel now is the right time to step back and allow Mike to take the reins, together with Simon Jones, Client Services Director and Egon Scheers, Process Management Director, to lead the business successfully into its next phase.”
