James Eveling, Managing Director James is Managing Director of Woodgate and Clark Limited and of Van Ameyde UK Holding Limited. He is also a main board director of Spotlite Claims and sister company marine Van Ameyde McAuslands, the UK arm of the Van Ameyde Marine Network. Before joining Woodgate & Clark James spent many years working for large law firms, going on to found and grow his own commercial legal practice operating across the South West of England. During that time, he became involved with the Van Ameyde Group in both the UK and Europe, handling several key acquisitions including that of Woodgate & Clark in 2015. James joined the company in January 2023, becoming Managing Director in June 2023. Phil Scarrett, Director FCII Phil is a main board director for Woodgate & Clark. Phil joined the business in 2016, becoming Managing Director in 2017. During this period he oversaw a sustained period of growth and modernisation and now, following his decision to retire in 2023, remains with Woodgate & Clark as an Executive Board Director. Phil also sits on the board of Van Ameyde McAuslands which forms part of the Van Ameyde Marine division, and Spotlite Claims Limited. Previously, Phil spent more than 20 years in claims leadership roles in the UK commercial and global risk sectors, along with senior roles in sales and distribution. Graeme Fitzpatrick, Operations Director FCII FCILA FUEDI-ELAE Graeme is Operations Director for Woodgate & Clark and a main board director. A highly skilled major loss adjuster, Graeme has handled a number of high-profile material damage, business interruption and third-party property claims across a wide range of industries, and his expertise, attention to detail and ability to solve complex issues are often called upon by clients. Graeme also has extensive executive management experience gained through a variety of senior roles in the industry. When he’s not working Graeme is a keen cyclist and also enjoys travelling to far-flung locations. Dave Greenwood , Director ACII FCILA Dave is a main board director providing leadership for our repair network, Quadrassist. He entered the loss adjusting profession in 1980 and qualified as a chartered loss adjuster in 1989. His people skills and business acumen quickly led him into management roles, becoming an area director for a large adjuster in 1985. Embarking on a new venture, Dave was then a founding partner of the successful loss adjusting practice Carr Greenwood Smith. This experience honed his strategic and operational skills, which were used again in the establishment of Quadra Claims Services in 2010. Dave is a well-respected business leader known for his consideration and care for clients and colleagues. Simon Jones, Client Development Director LLB (Hons) FCILA FUEDI-ELAE Simon is a main board director, leading our client services team, responsible for both existing and new business development. He is a chartered loss adjuster with a comprehensive understanding of claims, having handled complex, high-profile, and varied losses throughout his career. Simon has been successful in a range of claims and management positions, enabling him to not only develop his technical expertise, but also to grow his talents in people management, customer service and design solutions for clients, most recently as a board director with Quadra Claims Services. Mike Farley, Director of Client Services ACII FCILA Mike is a director and is responsible for account management and business development. He started working in loss adjusting in 1987 and has held a number of senior management roles. Mike has specialist experience in the real estate market and is a member and past chairman of the Property Investors Committee of the Insurance Institute of London. Outside of his working life, Mike enjoys gardening, bird watching and listening to music. He also holds a season ticket for Tottenham Hotspur FC where he experiences regular frustration and disappointment. Alison Gamble, Director of Client Services Dip CII Alison is a Director within our Client Services team, responsible for account management and business development. Her 25 year career in loss adjusting has included roles in claims handling, process improvement, quality and compliance, plus employee training and development. Prior to joining Woodgate & Clark, Alison spent 10 years working at the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA), where she was responsible for the development of the CILA brand, sponsor relationships, volunteer engagement and the provision of CPD activities. Simon Loerns, Director of Specialist Services ACII BDMA Senior Tech (Ins) Simon is responsible for the technical performance and delivery of the specialist services division. He started his career in loss adjusting in 2000 and spent a number of years adjusting household and commercial claims before developing an interest in high net worth, heritage and private client claims. After spending 14 years at a well-known high net worth insurer, initially within technical claims and latterly manager of their field claims team, Simon has returned to loss adjusting bringing with him strong technical and problem-solving skills along with a real focus on delivering great customer outcomes. Martin Cornes, Director of Quadrassist Martin started his career working in brokers before moving on to the claims department at a major insurer, dealing with commercial, motor and domestic claims. He then moved into loss adjusting as a general adjuster, getting more involved in building claims, it was then he transferred to a building network as contractor manager for the North West. In 2006 Martin set up his own contracting company undertaking insurance-related repairs. He completed work for many major insurers and loss adjusters. In 2021, Martin joined as head of Quadrassist. Nic Fordyce, Director of Regional Operations – South ACII Dip CILA Nic has worked in the insurance industry in various roles throughout her career and was a senior operations manager for a large insurer before joining Woodgate & Clark in 2010. Here she has been responsible for service and delivery across the UK and feeding into our recruitment and succession planning teams, securing the resources we need for years to come. Nic brings a wealth of operational experience to the south region as Director of Regional Operations – South. Marie Quinn, Director of Regional Operations – Midlands BA Hons MA As Director of Regional Operations for The Midlands, Marie brings over 20 years of leadership experience from within the insurance industry. Holding a senior role within a global insurer, she has driven market-leading best practices and service delivery across a broad range of services. Marie has a proven track record in operational excellence, which she has delivered through motivated and engaged teams, and has also successfully led numerous operational change management programmes. Marie has significant expertise in counter fraud management and joined Woodgate and Clark in 2020 as Head of Counter Fraud, resulting in the team being recognised at The Post Magazine Claims and Fraud Award 2022 as “Best Independent Fraud Team of the Year.” Glyn Brookes-Humphrey, Director of Regional Operations – North ACILA Glyn has worked in insurance claims handling for over 25 years, with over 20 of those spent in loss adjusting. Starting his career as a claims handler with exposure to all classes of property and motor claims, Glyn moved into commercial property with another major insurer and from here to adjusting in 1999. After a couple of spells as a general adjuster, he briefly worked as a fraud investigator before moving to a large loss adjuster, where he progressed from adjusting to operational management 10 years ago. Glyn joined Woodgate & Clark in January 2022 as Operations Manager. Amanda Pelc, Head of Corporate Services Amanda has enjoyed a long and varied career in corporate workspace management and procurement, holding a number of senior posts managing diverse property portfolios and service delivery for large financial services and global real estate firms across the UK and Europe. As Head of Corporate Services, Amanda manages public relations, brand, internal and external communications, the UK property estate, procurement, as well as strategic project management for the executive board. Lyndsey Moore, Director of HR Assoc CIPD Lyndsey joined Woodgate & Clark as HR Manager in 2019 having spent 20 years with a large multinational company. She looks after recruitment, training and development, succession planning, compensation, and benefits. Lyndsey is a CIPD-qualified HR practitioner passionate about employee engagement and development. In her spare time, Lyndsey enjoys keeping fit and can usually be found walking, running, or hiking somewhere in the beautiful Kent countryside. Kay Elliott, Director of Finance ACMA Kay joined Woodgate & Clark in 2019 as Finance Controller, and her role is integral to the financial governance of the company. An experienced, qualified accountant, Kay has worked in the London Market insurance industry for almost 30 years in a variety of senior finance roles.
